Wedding Peach

Wedding Peach
Wedding Peach (愛天使伝説ウェディング・ピーチ, Ai Tenshi Densetsu Wedingu Pīchi?, literally "Legend of the Angel of Love: Wedding Peach") is a shōjo manga by Nao Yazawa and Sukehiro Tomita that was originally serialized in Shogakukan's Ciao magazine. In North America it is translated and published by VIZ Media in its entirety, comprising six volumes.

The manga later was adapted into an anime television series that was directed by Kunihiko Yuyama and ran for 51 episodes on TV Tokyo from April 5, 1995 to March 27, 1996 and spawned a 4-episode OVA sequel (Wedding Peach DX) in 1996.

The anime (which is co-produced by KSS, TV Tokyo and NAS) is licensed for distribution in North America by ADV Films, and they have released both the TV series and OVA series onto a total of ten DVD volumes.

In 2004, Wedding Peach: Young Love was released, a compilation of Wedding Peach stories made specifically for the monthly magazine Shogaku Sannensei ("Elementary School Third-grader"). To better fit the magazine's target audience, the "Young Love" version of Wedding Peach features younger-looking characters, less complex storylines, and simpler dialogue.

Series overview

The story follows Momoko Hanasaki, a junior high school girl who is in trouble between the Angel World and the Devil World. It all starts when Aphrodite tells Momoko that she is the legendary Love Angel Wedding Peach, and that she will take the place of her mother, Sakura, in finding and protecting the "Sacred Four Somethings", after a devil named Pluie tries to steal Momoko's mother's ring. Now she must protect the sanctity of love from Rain Devilla and her minions. Her friends, the other Love Angels, are Yuri Tanima (Angel Lily), Hinagiku Tamano (Angel Daisy), and Scarlet O'Hara (Angel Salvia). She also has Jama-P, who originally was a minion of Raindevila. Momoko is in love with Yosuke who is, unknowingly, a half-devil warrior of a tribe in the Devil World named Viento; Yosuke's father, coincidentally, is the one who sent Celestia (Sakura) and himself to Earth in the first place. Yuri is in love with Captain Yanagiba of the soccer team, otherwise known as the angel Limone. While trying to live the lives of normal Japanese middle school students, the Love Angels must protect the world with love, or live in a world filled with nothing but hate.

Gaara

Gaara
Gaara (我愛羅, Gaara?) is a fictional character in the Naruto manga and anime series, created by Masashi Kishimoto. He was introduced a third of the way through the series, and serves as a foil to the series' titular character, Naruto Uzumaki: the two were born through similar circumstances, but develop vastly different personalities as they deal with their troubled upbringing.Initially introduced as an enemy and Naruto's rival, the two eventually develop a bond as kindred spirits and become close friends as the series progresses.

A ninja from Sunagakure, Gaara and his elder siblings, Kankuro and Temari, are the children of their village's leader, the Fourth Kazekage. Gaara was was chosen by his father to become host to a powerful type of demon known as a tailed beast at the time of birth; the ceremony resulted in both the death of his mother and the sealing of the One-Tailed Shukaku within his body.

This inner demon, as intended, turned Gaara into something of a living weapon with the distinct ability to control sand, a trait which earned him the moniker "Gaara of the Desert" (砂瀑の我愛羅, Sabaku no Gaara?). However, it also set the stage for his traumatic childhood, during which Gaara was ostracized and feared by his fellow villagers, and even those closest to him. With time, Gaara's own father would come to view him as a threat to the village, and several failed assassination attempts followed.

As a result of these experiences, Gaara becomes cold and distant even with his allies and siblings, and grows into a remorseless killer with the belief that he can justify his own existance only through the slaying of others. However, after meeting and doing battle with Naruto, he begins to reevaluate his purpose in the world, instead deciding that he can use his abilities to protect and help those he cares about. In the latter half of the series, he has become a respected and beloved figure in the village, inheriting leadership as Sunagakure's Fifth Kazekage.

Gaara has appeared in several pieces of Naruto media, including the second featured film in the series, the third original video animation, and several video games. Numerous anime and manga publications have also commented on Gaara's character and initially sadistic mentality; IGN labeled the disparity between Naruto and Gaara as "emotional" and "a tad creepy."The battle between him and Naruto at the conclusion of the Invasion of Konoha arc was particularly celebrated by reviewers, with Anime News Network referring to it as the high point of the entire series. Amongst the Naruto reader base, Gaara has been popular, placing high in several popularity polls.Numerous pieces of merchandise have been released in Gaara's likeness, including plush dolls and key chains.

Background

Gaara's background, though presented in small amounts from the moment of his introduction, is ultimately told in detail midway through Naruto manga volume fifteen. This backstory, told via flashbacks just prior to doing battle with Naruto Uzumaki, serves as a way to compare and contrast the two character's upbringings. While both characters face similar hardships of hatred and neglect in their youth, differences in the circumstances of their births and their familial relationships cause them to develop dramatically different personalities. Prior to Gaara's birth, his father, then leader of the ninja village of Sunagakure, was forced to cut military spending and channel its revenue to other programs. To keep the village's military forces from becoming too weak, his father had the One-Tailed Shukaku sealed within Gaara during his birth; in doing so, his father hoped that Gaara would become the village's weapon, singlehandedly filling the void created by the budget cuts.
To help Gaara gain control over the powers granted to him by Shukaku, Gaara's father trained him in the ninja arts throughout his childhood. Despite years of efforts to tame and control the beast within him, Gaara was never able to gain complete control over Shukaku. Against Gaara's will, Shukaku would lash out and attack those close to him, making him feared as a monster by the villagers, despite his attempts to apologize. His father, fearing that Gaara might someday bring about the destruction of the village, ordered Gaara's assassination. Over the coming years Shukaku would protect Gaara from every assassination attempt and promptly kill the perpetrator.Realizing that he had been abandoned by his own family, Gaara adopted the belief that he, and by extension Shukaku, were the only people he could rely on in the world.

Personality
Gaara's most fundamental characteristic at the start of the series is a direct result of his background; as he is the only person he can count on, he comes to believe that the only way he can justify his existence is to kill others. During the Chunin Exams arc, a chance for aspiring ninja to prove their worth and rise up the ninja ranks, Gaara displays this philosophy by either killing or seriously maiming anyone who makes the mistake of insulting him. Towards the arc's conclusion, after weaker ninja have fallen to the wayside and Gaara is pitted against progressively more talented opponents, Gaara undergoes a subtle change in ideals: rather than finding purpose in life by killing just anyone, Gaara comes to crave killing anyone stronger than him, as only they are capable of threatening his existence.

Gaara continues to seek out strong opponents for the duration of the arc, eventually forcing Naruto Uzumaki to fight him by threatening one of his teammates. By fighting to save his friends, Naruto is able to defeat Gaara. Realizing that fighting for others yields greater strength than fighting for one's self, Gaara abandons his belief that he is the person he can rely on. For the series's duration Gaara tries to make amends with the many character's he had alienated, apologizing to those he hurt and improving his relationship with his family. At the same time, Gaara's fundamental characteristic becomes the desire to protect as many people as he can, as in doing so he will be able to find true strength. This culminates in his replacing his father as the leader of Sunagakure during the second half of the series, his greatest dream being to give his life for the villagers no matter what their opinion of him may be.

Abilities

As a result of Shukaku being sealed within him, Gaara is granted complete control over sand. Because he fights on a variety of terrains throughout the series, many of which do not have high concentrations of sand, Gaara always carries some with him in a calabash gourd, which itself is also made of sand. When attacking others, Gaara uses his sand to capture and subsequently crush his target, only varying the size and intensity of the action to suit the situation. Most of his battles involve repeating this method of attack over and over until he has succeeded in finishing off his opponent, and as such Gaara typically remains stationary for the battle's duration.[18] If an opponent is able to escape his attempts at capture and get close enough to attack him, Gaara possesses an automatic shield of sand that reacts whenever he is about to be struck. Though few characters have ever been able to bypass this defense, as it activates quickly and without Gaara's knowledge, Gaara armors his skin with a layer of sand as a precautionary defensive measure.

Similar to Naruto and other such hosts, Gaara can manifest aspects of his inner tailed beast if he is unable to defeat an opponent under his own power, giving him a proportionate access to Shukaku's superior strength and speed, even to the point that Shukaku will manifest completely. As he draws out Shukaku's power, his body is slowly covered in sand which assumes the shape of a tanuki, causing him to look like a miniature version of Shukaku, and he grows progressively more violent and bloodthirsty in the process.Though he was unconcerned with this particular side effect when first shown using the transformation, he comes to fear what he might do to his allies if he taps into Shukaku, and thus has avoided using it after changing his violent ways. In addition to transforming into this Shukaku form, Gaara can force himself to sleep using ninjutsu, fully drawing out Shukaku's form and personality. Doing so allows Shukaku to fight at full strength, giving him complete dominance over the battle so long as Gaara remains asleep.

I Love Gaara !!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's cool.!!!!!!!!!!

The Prince of Tennis

The Prince of Tennis
The Prince of Tennis (テニスの王子様, Tenisu no Ōjisama?) is a popular Japanese manga written and illustrated by Takeshi Konomi. The manga was first published in Japan in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in July 1999, and ended publication on March 3, 2008. A total of 379 chapters were serialized, spanning over 42 volumes. As of volume 40, the manga has sold over 40 million copies in Japan.[1] The manga is published in English in North America by Viz Media.

The Prince of Tennis was adaptated into an anime series directed by Takayuki Hamana, animated by Trans Arts and co-produced by Nihon Ad Systems and TV Tokyo. The anime aired across Japan on the anime satellite television network Animax and the terrestrial TV Tokyo network from October 10, 2001 to March 30, 2005, spanning a total of 178 episodes, as well as a theatrical movie. In April of 2006, an OVA continuation of the anime began to be released on DVD. The beginning of the second OVA series was released on June 22, 2007, roughly 3 months after the end of the first. The second OVA ended on January 25, 2008, and the third and final OVA is scheduled to start on March 16, 2008, as stated in the series' official site.

The series developed into a media franchise and has had numerous other adaptations outside of the animated incarnation. Since April of 2003, more than fifteen stage musicals have been produced for the series. An animated movie was released in 2005, as well as a live action movie in 2006. Also, a live action television drama has been announced to air in China. The franchise has also had a long running radio show, numerous video games, soundtracks, and other merchandise or collectibles.

The title is often shortened to Teni-Puri (テニプリ, tenipuri?), a portmanteau of the two parts in the Japanese pronunciation of the words, Tennis Prince. This is also evident in some of the chibi episodes in the anime, where all the regulars of Seishun Gakuen are members of the Teni-Puri family.

Plotline
The series is primarily set in Tokyo. Ryoma Echizen, a tennis prodigy, attends Seishun Academy (青春学園, Seishun Gakuen?), or Seigaku (青学) for short, a private school famous for its strong tennis club and talented players. Ryoma quickly defeats numerous upperclassmen shortly after entrance to secure himself a spot as one of the team's regulars. In pursuit of their ultimate goal of winning the all-Japan junior high school tennis championship, members of the team make new friends while learning and mastering increasingly complex techniques. Ryoma also begins to develop his own style of tennis, and eventually realizes what the sport really means to him.

Characters

Ryoma Echizen (越前 リョーマ, Echizen Ryōma?)
The protagonist of the series, Ryoma is the son of Nanjiro Echizen, who was formerly known as "Samurai Nanjiro" during his days as a professional tennis player. Ryoma gains the nickname "Samurai Junior" later in the series. He makes his first appearance when he criticizes a high school student about his tennis knowledge in a subway.
Kunimitsu Tezuka (手塚 国光, Tezuka Kunimitsu?)
Tezuka is the captain of the tennis club and a third year student at Seishun Academy. He is an incredibly talented player and went to Nationals the year before the series took place. Tezuka is serious about everything he does, and he is very strict — one of his trademark phrases is "Don't let your guard down."
Shuichiro Oishi (大石 秀一郎, Ōishi Shūichirō?)
Oishi is a third year student at Seishun Academy and the vice-captain of the tennis club. Along with Eiji Kikumaru, he is part of Seigaku's "Golden Pair," a doubles team that made it to Nationals the year before the series takes place. Oishi is a very responsible character and cares deeply about the team.
Shusuke Fuji (不二 周助, Fuji Shūsuke?)
Shusuke Fuji is a third year student at Seishun Academy and is approaching fifteen years of age at the beginning of the series. He is given the title "genius" (天才, tensai?) due to his tactical skill on the tennis court. Fuji is often seen with a calm and content expression on his face, with his eyes seemingly closed from lightly smiling. However, when he is excited or provoked, or when playing seriously, Fuji reveals his sharp eyes.
Eiji Kikumaru (菊丸 英二, Kikumaru Eiji?)
Eiji Kikumaru is a third year student at Seishun Academy and is part of the "Golden Pair," along with Shuichiro Oishi. Using his acrobatic play, he can return almost any ball, even those that seem out of human reach. Eiji is also known to have the sharpest vision on the team, with an exceptional talent for seeing moving objects.
Takashi Kawamura (河村 隆, Kawamura Takashi?)
Takashi is a soft-spoken person off the court, very gentle and shy, though still outspoken and stubborn when he makes a decision. However, he becomes extremely aggressive and loud once he grabs a racket. This change in his personality is marked by him shouting "Burning!!!"
Sadaharu Inui (乾 貞治, Inui Sadaharu?)
Inui is a highly intelligent player. He plays what he calls "Data Tennis," which involves collecting and analyzing data for a player in order to determine their weaknesses. He is even able to determine the exact probability of certain shots being successful. When he is cut from the regulars after the first Seigaku ranking matches shown in the series, Inui creates the training menus for the team.
Takeshi Momoshiro (桃城 武, Momoshiro Takeshi?)
Momoshiro is known as Seigaku's number one rascal. He is an aggressive baseliner. For a short time, he is cut from the regulars after losing to Inui and Tezuka during Seigaku's second monthly ranking matches. As the player who is the most open and friendly with everyone, Momoshiro is connected to everyone on the team on some level.
Kaoru Kaido (海堂 薫, Kaidō Kaoru?)
Kaido's nickname is "Viper," which fits him well as his signature move is the "Snake Shot," a curving forehand that keeps his opponents running. He wears a bandana and often exhales, making a sound similar to a snake. Kaido does not like his nickname, and often reacts badly when called that within earshot. He and Momo are rivals, though very competent doubles partners.

Dolls (manga)

Dolls (manga)
Dolls (ドールズ, Dōruzu?) is a manga series by the mangaka group naked ape (Saki Otoh and Nakamura Tomomi). Five volumes have been published in Japan, but it has not been published in English yet.

Plot

In the 3rd Toutoh Empire, the excessive immigration led to an increase of violent crimes, and the government approved a law to expedite trials and alleviate the pressure on the overcrowded prisons: the Rationalization of Trials (RoT). With this law it is possible to hold trials without the suspect present, and the sentence is often the death penalty.

To enforce the law was then created a new special police unit, in charge of investigating and carrying out the execution: the Tokkei (特刑, Tokkei?), abbreviation for Tokubetsu Shikeishikkou Keimukan Butai (特別死刑執行刑務官部隊, Tokubetsu Shikeishikkou Keimukan Butai? Official Unit for Punishment and Special Executions). The Tokkei, composed of 47 groups (units) of 3 people, soon became known for its brutality as a group of heartless assassins, almost only hollow shells without feelings, and commonly called the Dolls. Against them rose a terrorist group, the Doll Hunters, which opposes them but is as violent and brutal as them, if not worse.

Characters.

Shouta Mikoshiba (御子柴笑太, Shouta Mikoshiba?) is the captain of the First Unit of the Tokkei, with a success rate of 100%. He's not only skilled, but also wise and cunning. His weapon is a Colt M1911.

Seiju Shikibu (式部清寿, Seiju Shikibu?) is the vice-captain of the First Unit. He's a cheerful boy, but emotionless during the fights. His weapon is a cutting wire.

Usaki Toudou (藤堂羽沙希, Usaki Toudou?) is the new member of the First Unit, freshly graduated from the Academy at the top of his class. He's promptly renamed Usagi from his companions. He's very surprised of the attitude of his colleagues, because he is the one who looks emotionless more than any other. His weapon is a katana.

Peacemaker Kurogane

Peacemaker Kurogane
Peacemaker Kurogane (PEACE MAKER鐵, Peacemaker Kurogane?) is a historical fiction manga and anime series created by mangaka Nanae Chrono (黒乃奈々絵, Kurono Nanae?). The story begins in 19th century Japan before the Meiji Restoration, while the seeds of the revolution are being planted. The story focuses on a boy, Ichimura Tetsunosuke, who joins the Shinsengumi as Hijikata Toshizo's page while seeking to become strong enough to avenge the deaths of his parents.

The series began under the name Shinsengumi Imon Peacemaker (新撰組異聞PEACE MAKER, Shinsengumi Imon Peacemaker?), published by Enix in the magazine Monthly Shonen Gangan, before moving to Mag Garden's Comic Blade in 2001 and picking up the name Peacemaker Kurogane.[1] Kurogane was licensed by ADV Manga, which released three of the five volumes before putting it on hold indefinitely; later, the license lapsed, and Tokyopop acquired it, along with Shinsengumi Imon Peacemaker.[2] The manga was later adapted into a television series by Gonzo Digimation and ran for 24 episodes, which aired on TV Asahi in late 2003 and early 2004. The US license for the anime is held by ADV Films under the title Peacemaker. The anime aired in the United States on Showtime Beyond,[3] alongside Chrono Crusade.

Plot

The story is focused on the main character, Ichimura Tetsunosuke, an energetic, short, and very childlike 15 year old. Sadly, he and his older brother are left to fend for themselves after the vicious murder of their parents. While Tetsunosuke wants to get revenge, his pacifist brother is not so inclined. Interestingly, the story develops when they take refuge working defined jobs in a special police force called the Shinsengumi, where his brother is an accountant and he is a page to one of the groups leaders. While there, Tetsunosuke will attempt to get stronger in order to take the revenge he so desires, but he will be confronted by the hardships that are involved with becoming that powerful.

The anime is also focused on the characters that make up the legendary Shinsengumi and the interaction and conflict they have with one another.
